I am interested in trying iPod Reporters where students interview with an iPod and voice recorder. Some good teaching content is listed on this page.

Are they a learning tool? Good article for all educators to read that are skeptical.

It is an edublog written by a technology specialist and provides educators with practical tips to integrate technology into their classrooms. Recording with iPods, comparison of best iPod for your classroom, iPod applications and benefits of iPods in the classroom are just a few of the topics in the publication.

IPods helped the bilingual students learn English in a shorter amount of time.

8. http://etc.usf.edu/plans/lessons/lp/lp0169.htm - Lesson Planet - Fraction and Decimal Review Podcast - This fifth grade teacher wanted the students to demonstrate fraction and decimal skills. They needed to use problem-solving, critical thinking, writing skills, and technology to create a podcast. This lesson uses iPod, iTunes, Garageband, and Keynote.

This site was founded by Tanya Asproth. The site provides a safe place for kids to create podcasts and post them without parents and teachers worrying. Kids get to listen to kids as they discuss subjects they either love or were assigned in class. This would be a good place to publish pieces of work for parents to listen too!

This site was founded by Lisa Richison. Good ideas site for grade levels!! As I was searching before, I was trying to find sites with curriculum ideas. Bingo!! I like the Living History Project for Social Studies. There are other subject areas appropriate for my grade with ideas. Thanks for the help Lisa.

This site was founded by Tony Bell. I like this site because it gives you a visual picture of how to set up an iPod station in your classroom. It may not be practical right now, but maybe later on down the road. Looks like a mess at first, but when you analyze the picture, you can begin to understand the technology you will need for a full class. Right now, I have the lap top and iPod. It is a start.

Podcast: What happened to the lost colony at Roanoke?
First of all, I like this podcast because of all of the topics I can use as review and supplemental information with my Social Studies curriculum. I like to use the most current and up-dated information with some of my units and this piece will update the content we have right now. When we are studying the colonization of the United States, a brief overview is always given of the colony of Roanoke, but there never seems to be enough clarification of what really happened at Roanoke in Virginia. This
oral presentation will catch the students attention providing a better explanation of what happened in history.
